CHICAGO, Ill. — A man known as {SQUAD} Oldest YN was reportedly killed, and another man was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood.
The shooting occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of State and Lake streets. Chicago police officers responding to reports of gunfire found two men suffering from gunshot wounds outside a 7-Eleven convenience store.
Both victims were transported by paramedics to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. One man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving, while the second victim was reported to be in fair condition.
Authorities have not yet publicly released the deceased man’s official identity, pending notification of next of kin. The name {SQUAD} Oldest YN has been reported as an informal or known name, but police have not confirmed it as the victim’s official identity.
Investigators have not disclosed what led to the shooting or released descriptions of any potential suspects. No arrests have been announced.
