With deep sadness, we remember 45-year-old Nicholas Bryant, who lost his life following a stabbing incident in Lebanon, Tennessee. His unexpected passing has left his family, friends, and loved ones grieving as they come to terms with this devastating loss.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Sycamore Street on Friday night after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arriving, they discovered Nicholas with multiple sharp-force injuries. Officers immediately began providing emergency assistance in an effort to save his life.
Witnesses at the scene helped investigators by providing a description of the suspected individual and the vehicle associated with the incident. Using the information gathered, officers began searching nearby areas and soon located the suspect on Park Avenue, where he was taken into custody.
Nicholas was rushed to Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts to help him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. His death prompted a homicide investigation as authorities began working to determine exactly what had taken place.
Following the initial investigation, police identified 47-year-old Paul St. Clair as the suspect. He has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with Nicholas’s death. Authorities also confirmed that St. Clair was hospitalized and is expected to be booked into the Wilson County Jail after being released.
Investigators have not yet disclosed what led to the dispute or what happened before the stabbing. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the investigation is still ongoing.
