Nicole Taylor Triplet Death, Taylor Red Singer Dies at 35 After Battle With Stage 4 Breast Cancer, Sisters Nika and Natalie Announce Her Death

Nicole Taylor, one of the identical triplets behind country music group Taylor Red, has died at 35 after battling aggressive breast cancer. Her sisters, Nika and Natalie Taylor, announced her death in an emotional social media video on November 2, 2026. Nicole died on September 28, according to her family.

Born Nicole Helen Taylor on March 18, 1991, she grew up in Hurley, Mississippi, with her sisters. The three developed a love of music early and formed a group first known as Red Roots, later changing its name to Taylor Red in 2018.

Nicole was a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who played guitar, banjo and drums. With her sisters, she performed at live events and shared stages with artists including Josh Turner, Amy Grant and Diamond Rio. She also co-hosted a radio show with Taste of Country.

Her sisters said Nicole was diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer in 2022. She initially responded to treatment, and at one point there was no evidence of disease. But the cancer returned and advanced to stage four. Through difficult treatment and setbacks, Nicole tried to stay active and positive; her sisters recalled that she even did CrossFit during chemotherapy.

In their tribute, Nika and Natalie described Nicole as their leader and best friend—a strong personality who stood up for them and encouraged them. They shared memories of her love of travel, meals out, music and time with family, and said they had hoped she would be able to tell her recovery story herself.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Mark and Sherry Taylor; her brother, Mark Allen Taylor Jr.; and her sisters, Natalie Jean and Nika Lee, as well as nieces and nephews. Her funeral service was held October 2 at Woodard Funeral Home, followed by burial at Crestview Memory Gardens.

Her death has renewed attention to Taylor Red’s music and to Nicole’s long fight with cancer. For fans, her legacy is both the close harmonies she shared with her sisters and the courage and warmth they remember in her.
